NBA
I know that my blog is mostly about football but since the NBA post season is active, I wanted to share a few words on it. My favorite team is the Minnesota Timber Wolves and even though they aren't in the playoffs, I hope they recuperate and bring out a stronger team next year. Even though the Heat and Pacers are favorite to win in the playoffs, I hope the dark horse Thunder rise up on top.

Woes
Former all star Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb, was released after a day in jail. He was in jail because of a DUI arrest made the day prior. I definitely think he should have got more jail time because DUI is a terrible crime. To drive drunk and endanger the lives of everyone around you is horrific and should have a dire punishment if committed. The thing to make it worse is that if the DUI culprit was just an average guy, he would have got more time but since McNabb is a celebrity superstar, he gets to get treated like royalty. I find this horribly bizarre and am very disappointed.

NCAA
As of this moment, there is a huge controversy on the financial status of the college players. College student players are trying to get paid for their athletic contribution to their school. Some schools rely on the prowess of their students from the athletic system so the students are trying to take advantage of that. Adrian Peterson, the Vikings star player, has voiced his opinion and has said that the players deserve to get paid. I personally don't think the college players should get paid because it would be too costly to pay the entire player base of the NCAA and also, where would the money come from?

Parting is such sweet sorrow
I am sad to say that DeSean Jackson, my favorite wide receiver has been traded to the Washington Redskins. It is very weird because the Eagles and Redskins are part of the same division and it may cause more havoc in the locker room because a player is going to his rival team. Jackson is a great player and I hope he flourishes in the red locker room.
